INCREASE IN PROFITS AND TURNOVER
OF KIRIACOULIS MEDITERRANEAN CRUISES SHIPPING S.A.
IN THE FIRST QUARTER OF 2002
Kiriacoulis Mediterranean Cruises Shipping S.A. presented impressive growth rates in its financial figures in the first quarter of 2002 as compared to that of 2001. More precisely, the company’s profit before taxes increased by 36,9% amounting to 117.698,19 euro from 85.956,90 euro in the first quarter of 2001. The company’s turnover (net sales) soared by 82,6% reaching 828.369,22 euro from 453.561,71 euro in the corresponding period last year.
It is worth mentioning that this significant growth in the company’s financial figures was accomplished in the first quarter of this year, that is, during a period where the tourist trade is limited. On the basis of this trend, the management of Kiriacoulis Mediterranean Cruises Shipping S.A. estimates that the company’s financial results will display high growth rates during the year.
The Board of Directors of Kiriacoulis Mediterranean Cruises Shipping SA, will propose to the Annual General Meeting of the company’s shareholders the distribution of a 0,047 euro dividend per share, increased by 14,6% as compared to the 0,041 euro dividend per share distributed last year.
Kiriacoulis Mediterranean Cruises Shipping S.A., having international experience in matters of sea tourism, participates in a powerful joint venture with the objective to undertake the construction and the management of the marinas of Flisvos, Zeas and Alimos.
