Biograd is the centre of the Riviera extending from Petar na Moru to Drage including the islands Pasman and Vrgada. Thanks to its position in the most indented part of the Croatian Adriatic coast the area provides excellent opportunities for nautical tourism. In the close vicinity there are three national parks: Paklenica, Kornati Archipelago and Krka, as well as the Telascica natural park and lake Vransko.
Apart from the cultural and historical heritage, Biograd is also characterised by natural beaches, picturesque bays and various accommodation facilities. The picturesque Pasman channel with a series of small islands protects Biograd from strong winds, which is an advantage for swimmers and yachts.
